How Our AI Works
You2Funds's AI draft generator uses a large language model (LLM) to produce grant application narratives based on the profile information you provide — including your organization name, project description, geographic area, target population, and project goals — combined with the specific requirements of the funding opportunity you select. The AI generates text in real time using probabilistic language modeling; it does not have access to your financial records, legal documents, or any information beyond what you explicitly enter into the platform.
What AI-Generated Drafts Are
AI-generated drafts are a starting point — a first draft designed to save you time and help you overcome the blank-page problem. They are structured to follow common grant application conventions and are personalized to your project based on your profile data.
Think of the AI as a skilled writing assistant who has read thousands of successful grant applications and can produce a coherent first draft quickly — but who does not know your organization as well as you do, cannot verify facts, and cannot exercise professional judgment.
What AI-Generated Drafts Are Not
- Not professional advice: AI-generated content does not constitute legal, financial, accounting, or professional grant writing advice.
- Not guaranteed accurate: The AI may produce content that contains factual errors, outdated statistics, or information that does not accurately reflect your organization or project.
- Not submission-ready without review: Every AI-generated draft must be carefully reviewed, edited, and verified by you before submission.
- Not a guarantee of funding: Using AI-generated drafts does not increase or decrease your probability of receiving funding. Award decisions are made entirely by the funding organization.
- Not confidential by default: Do not include sensitive personal information, trade secrets, or confidential financial data in your profile or AI prompts beyond what is necessary for the application.
Your Responsibilities
As a user of You2Funds's AI features, you are solely responsible for:
- Reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before submission
- Ensuring that all information submitted in any grant application is truthful and accurate
- Verifying that your organization meets the eligibility requirements of any funding opportunity you apply for
- Complying with all rules, regulations, and requirements of the funding organization
- Understanding that submitting false or misleading information in a grant application may constitute fraud and could result in civil or criminal liability
AI Limitations and Known Issues
We are transparent about the current limitations of our AI system:

Some funding organizations have policies regarding the use of AI in grant applications. It is your responsibility to review and comply with any such policies before using AI-generated content in your submissions.
